Meet CJ, the President and Principal Architect of Akertect Design. With a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University and licensure in New Jersey, CJ leads our firm's design and project management efforts. His passion lies in green design, harnessing the local climate to craft vibrant, thriving spaces for living, working, and leisure.
Certified by the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards and proudly associated with the American Institute of Architects, CJ's dedication to his craft is evident. His outstanding contributions recently earned him a nomination for the prestigious AIA Young Architect of the Year award.
Throughout his career, CJ has successfully overseen the design and completion of numerous notable projects, including striking new homes, thoughtful additions, and transformative renovations along the picturesque Jersey Shore.
But CJ's achievements extend beyond his professional endeavors. As an active father and devoted husband, his two sons, Jack and Logan, stand as his greatest accomplishments.

Office Manager / Administrator

Jonathan Medeiros

Meet Jon, an exceptional addition to the Akertect team. Jon embarked on his journey with us back in the summer of 2021, starting as an intern while pursuing a full-time graduate program in Architecture at Kean University.
With great pride, we announce that Jon recently completed his Master's degree in May 2023 and has joined our team on a full-time basis. His academic accomplishments reflect his dedication and passion for the field.
Jon's brilliance shines through his expertise in AutoCAD, Rhino, and Lumion, which positions him as a prominent figure and a valuable leader within our firm. His profound knowledge and skills in these software applications contribute significantly to the excellence of our projects. Nikki Malowitz
Nikki, as CJ's elder sister, holds a special place at Akertect as one of our earliest team members. Her unwavering support and encouragement were instrumental in inspiring her brother to pursue his architectural dream. Today, Nikki stands as Akertect's biggest advocate, constantly cheering us on.
With a boundless enthusiasm for the firm, Nikki goes above and beyond to assist the team in any way she can.
